Apple Valley Continuing Care will ensure that our drug and alcohol rehab patients get the care they need after discharge in order to stay healthy. Relapse is a very real problem that many recovering addicts face when they return to their everyday lives. However, we believe that the proper amount and type of continuing care can help them to find success even when they are back at their regular jobs and with their family and friends.
Continued Rehabilitation Support in Apple Valley
Family support is also provided many times during Apple Valley Continuing Care. We believe that the health of the individual directly depends on the health of the entire family unit as well as on others with whom the patient spends his life, such as friends and coworkers. Therefore, many of the therapies we recommend include these ancillary people. Types of group therapy, such as music therapy or sports therapy, have room for the family. In addition, the family can also be involved with certain counseling sessions, such as marriage or family counseling. Of course, we still recommend individualized programs along with these group sessions to ensure that patients are able to communicate any fears or struggles they are having with a mentor or therapist.
At First Step Recovery Center, which serves Apple Valley, California, and the surrounding areas, we recommend several different continuing care options. We know that not everyone is the same and what appeals to and helps one person may not provide any help to someone else. We also help patients evaluate what is working for them. If one program does not feel like it is working, we will happily recommend a different program or type of therapy. For example, individual therapy may not provide many benefits for some. Therefore, we may recommend switching to a group therapy, such as a 12-step recovery group, a community support group or a type of group therapy, such as music or art therapy. We promise to stand beside each of our patients through every step in the process, including post-recovery.
